Karen has been in the dental field since 1984. Karen’s favourite part of her job is sharing stories with our patients. She says, “I feel the staff and the patients are like an extended part of my family.” When not at work, Karen enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking with her dogs, mountain biking or off roading in her jeep!
Sharon
Receptionist
Sharon has been in dentistry for 40 years. She started as a CDA, teaching dental assisting and now enjoys life as a dental administrator.
She is still amazed by the progression of dentistry over the years, which keeps her passionate about her profession. In her spare time, Sharon enjoys gardening, yoga, and is an active member of her local curling club (she even has trophies to prove it)! In spite of it all, her true passion is being a Grandma to her adorable grandchildren, Ben and Emily.

Lead Certified Dental Assistant
Teresa joined Banyan Dental in 2002 as a CDA. A graduate from Douglas College, she has provided excellent care as a CDA since 1985. Teresa strives to use her knowledge and skills in a caring and gentle manner, in order to make each and every patient feel comfortable. Teresa most enjoys how her job presents differently each day with the many interesting and enjoyable conversations and interactions with the patients and the staff. When not working, you will find Teresa hiking and enjoying nature.
